Lead Agencies

Strategies is a statewide network with regional offices in three thriving family strengthening organizations. This hands-on daily participation in the work of a community-based organization provides Strategies staff with a grounded perspective on the joys and challenges of daily life in a nonprofit.

Northern California Office: Youth for Change

Established in 1991, Youth for Change is a nonprofit organization that has continuously strived to develop community partnerships for the purpose of championing children and families. The agency’s dedicated team of professionally trained staff provides a wide array of services to children, youth, and families that demonstrate the agency’s commitment to helping families become more resilient. By doing so, it is the agency’s intention to increase the health and security of the children in our communities. Youth for Change was recently selected as one of four model community mental health programs by the California Family Resource Association.

Central California Office: Interface Children Family Services

Interface Children Family Services strengthens children, family, and communities to be safe, healthy, and thriving through a multitude of community mental health, youth development, and family strengthening programs. Interface has multiple sites in Ventura County including family resource centers in Santa Paula and Oak View. Interface was recently selected as one of four model community mental health programs by the California Family Resource Association.

Southern California Office: Children's Bureau

Children's Bureau is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect. Founded in 1904 by a group of community volunteers, Children's Bureau continues to be a leader in developing and providing innovative services aimed at helping at-risk children and families. The agency's program strategies involve four components: family support and development, child protection-family reunification-permanency, creating caring communities, and research and advocacy. More than 14,000 children and parents are helped each year through twelve community-based sites, including our family resource centers, located in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
