About Us

Strategies is a nationally recognized alliance of professional trainers, organizational development coaches, facilitators and support staff united by a set of core values and strategic approaches. We provide training, coaching, facilitation, curriculum development, and the practical application of research and best practices to programs, organizations, and networks that strengthen families and communities.

Strategies has offices across California in Butte, Ventura, and Orange counties. The Strategies team is close enough to quickly reach you in California – and we're only a phone call away from the rest of the country. While working closely as a statewide team, each one of Strategies' offices is also part of a separate nonprofit agency which, amongst other family strengthening programs, features one or more family resource centers. This ensures that the solutions we offer are not just academic; we are using them every day with tangible results.

An RFP distributed by the California Department of Social Services, Office of Child Abuse Prevention (OCAP) established Strategies in 1997. Funding for Strategies comes primarily from OCAP.

We promote a dynamic movement of family and community strengthening organizations and partnerships by providing information and opportunities for peer support, dialogue and strategic action.
